Chevron and my beloved Ecuador

Chevron
you’re a shameful bunch
Equador deserves
more from you
with all your profits
you have, enough reserves

but their green virgin
jungle
is a sewer thanks to you
Texaco oh! yes they know
now what they should do

the crude is bloody veryhwere
the ground is like cement
nothing grows there
thanks to you
which was not, how it
was mean’t

you leave your filthy residues
for the native peoples to
breathe in
drink and eat each day
that’s is what you do

sleeping at night
I doubt it
the karma is all yours
what you have done
to Ecuador is all about
the cause

just a real indictment
of your corporations worth
you took something that’s
beautiful
and destroyed planet earth
the ground
the trees
the plants
the forest
the water
and the stream
the indigenous
have the cancers
and you
tasted the cream

raped the land
and took the profit
and left the residue
Chevron from America
are you proud of what you do?

Because the world looks on and is anything but proud
