Why use live cats when you could and should use lifelike infant simulators ( Washington University)

The anatomy of a human baby
and a cat can’t be
the same I’m not a doctor
but I do have eyes to see
so why do all these white coats
in the Pediatric wing
of Washington University
seemingly just fling
good sense out the window
and experiment on a cat
many are not anesthetized
but really do not bat
an eyelid it is matter of fact
thats what they do
force a hard tube down
the windpipe of a cat
they take the view
that cats there are so many
and simulators cost
to practice intubation
again there’s nothing lost
but its abuse and some cats
wake up in anesthesia
and the others they just suffer
so its never really easier
The American Heart Foundation
throws its hands up in the air
but it seems the trainers at this place
actually don’t care
PETA is now on the case
and we must really fight
to get these cats removed from this
procedure which isn’t right
