Trafficking through Thailand of wild animals species

Bangkok appears a hub for wild life
trafficking
all sorts of animals seem
to come through there
Tiger cubs and Bears
pangolins
all sorts of things
I’m sure the world
at large is unaware

of the trade which is enormous
mainly China, but other asian
countries seemingly
Taiwan’s another place
where things are happening
where wild souls may vanish
rapidly
for habitats and victims
its such a disgrace
plucked out of their homes
and shipped away
in suitcases drugged animals
arrive and almost anywhere
smuggled out for
China
many say

sold in the markets
where TCM and, the pet trade
the various people share
and if the smugglers
do get caught
and the animals are well
they will not go back to the wild
which isn’t fair
instead they will have to spend a spell
in Government Wild Life centres
some for very many years alas
broken families,and the cost
it isn’t without tears
this ugly trade
is very very crass
Law enforcement might be worth
increasing
beyond what they already
have in place
and hefty fines for traffickers
apart from prison sentences
which just might take
the wide smile of their face

and money taken from them
could be given towards
the up keep of the wild life who
in the case of Tigers and of Nbears
maybe for years
and very soon a lot can be got through
so big fines might prohibit
these gang masters
who no doubt get their charges
off the street
and a hefty fine
and a spell inside a prison
might up the anti
and increase the heat

One has to remonstrate
with those procurers from the wild
this is a sinful nasty thing to do
its destruction of a wild one
for a few measly dollars
it means a lot to them
not to construe
that this would be the end
of all the problems
but I contend it would
go somewhere, and
those who do these rotten
risky random kinds of jobs
might after
a heavy sentence understand

Clearly the Thai Government
is wary
they have increased surveillance
that’s for sure
they are on the case
but they need to ramp it up a bit
and in the markets there must now be more
raids they must go out behind
those old facade’s
raid the places
and always hefty fines
and prison every time
for the offenders
more liaison all along the lines
where the aircraft have been loaded
that is possible
the x rays should pick up
this kind of thing
its people being bribed
to turn a blind eye to it all
and that’s why law enforcement is the king
