Apathy not hatred

And its true of course
its apathy
its a stupor that we see
a numbness in the population
an, inactivity
a reaction to the slaughter
to the torture to the pain
the carnivores apparently
although part of the chain
do not even worry
a most lethargic feel
okay so they are murdered
“we eat meat so get real”!
moral insensibility most
don’t even care
what I say and what you say
sadly they don’t share
they seem aloof to all of this
and buy into the pain
the abatoirs, the butchers shops
and the supermarkets gain
they just are so impassive unconcerned
in fact
generally its the vegans
who now seem to re act
the carnivores
they turn away
they shut it out
they feel
animals are just the vectors
what’s important, is their meal
unsmitten by the factories
by the corporates
and the woe
impervious to all of that
and how it seems to grow
brutality and callousness
they do not take that on
they are now truly
hardened as each animal is gone
