The Rumbutan Tree

The Rumbutan Tree
got its name from malay
It seems it means hairy
the fruit one can say
is hairy, and so its
a quite fitting name
a bit like a Lychee or Longgan
some claim
Wild Rambutans are yellow
I hear
Some grow in Melaka
but the red one’s appear
in the markets
In Chinese pinyin
Hong Mao Dun
clearly their sweetness
derived from hot sun
