Henry and Kate

Henry clearly able to identify

the cockatoo’s, said look there

a red tailed cockatoo

thats somewhat rare

in and around these parts, mate

you know the black and white

we see

But red tailed Black ones

they are special

cast your eyes with me

Kate loved Perth, a great deal

the heat of Summer too

And every week they came

to East Perth market

just to view

The farmers market and to sit

and take in all the sights

Underneath the shade from trees

and other such delights

20 years ago they settled

here in Perth, they said

and Manchester they hardly

thought of,  just all of this instead

the wondrous blues

of the sky,and the swan  running to the  sea

which had clearly won

their hearts which resonates

with me
