Some might say the humble Cauliflower
But that’s not me
I love to eat it very much
Its high in Vitamin C
Its best not boiled or steamed though
For water logging tends
To make the florets far too soft
And tragically that sends
The flavour to oblivion
Sautee it, and see
Lush protein, lots of vitamins
And, Omega 3
Its been eaten for 4 centuries
Low in carbs and fat
High in dietary fibre
So very good for that
estrogen antagonist
slowing cancer cells
And can be eaten in many ways
So it, rings all my bells
Stir fried, roasted, pickled
And sauteeing is good
Add turmuric to increase
Its anti inflammatory
You could
Add some curry spices
or turmuric to half
White and yellow
Cauliflower is always
worth a laugh
and it excites the children
and gets them in the frame
of mind to come and try it
Its all part of the game
