Let’s stop and think a moment
if asked would we agree
to get in our plane
and go off to fight
be one of the kamakazi
knowing we would not return
to this life
knowing this day was our last
we were sacrificing everything

Paul Watson has coined the phrase
Whaling Wars in the Southern Ocean
and his want for better days
the concept clearly heartfelt
each step of the way
He and all his caring crew
prepared to even pay
with their lives,
love for another species,
surely there can’t be
a more courageous Captain
sailing on the sea

The Japanese, the enemy
of Whales far flung they be
Still willing in the face
of world wide rancour earnestly
to in the name of Science
hunt and kill them still
blow them out of the water
uncaringly just spill
their blood across the ocean
devotion, to that cause
Captain Watson, the Japanese
and all of us must pause
must contemplate
and realise a “Devine Wind”
now blows
across the Southern Ocean
as the anger in us grows.
