Bear Hunting

Estonia has always hunted bears
Apparently
The hunters need is to kill them
Having them out there free
To kill the farmers cattle
And raid bee hives which they
Do and then destroy so much
And the bee keepers then pay
In Other parts of Europe
Who Have far fewer bears
And so they are more prudent
With these bears affairs
But Estonia is wild
A landscape really that excites
Swamps and valleys and mountains
Sobputting the world to rights
We need to let them be
Not kill them all the time
Making up excuses as to why the numbers climb

Tis said adults grow larger
And bolder every year
And then choose human habitation
Because then they don’t fear
Hunting brings reality
And bears then stay away
On farms they ruin silage rolls
And once again folk pay
To be a bear in Estonia
You have to knuckle down
Stay away from habitation
Dont go near a town
History apparently
Proves that hunters there
Need to Go out shooting
And bagging the odd Bear

And each year the numbers
Are rising
Its now 80 plus
And shooting them the hunters
They come in by the bus
Load to do their dirty deeds
And there is little we can say
But hope the bears Take heed of this
And really stay away.
