Nebraska’s Puma hunting

A lot of loose thinking
And a lack of vision
Nebraska judgement
From me some derision
A narrow mind
An intolerance for
The Puma or Mountain Lion
Where there’s war

It’s sort of attrition
A mission that’s mean
Just 40 Lions left
To augment the scene
Misguided people
Their heads in the cloud
Would kill for the trophy
And shout it out loud

A partiality for killing souls
For the skins for the kudos
Taking on roles
Of the great white hunter
Ambushing they
Feel warrior status
That’s what they say

To be open season
Misjudged it all
allowing these hunting types
Many a fool
With a rifle kills cats
But really what for
They are far better off left alive
That I’ m sure
