“Dil”‘

Innocence personified
An irreproachability
Guileless who would ever harm
A baby wee and Tragically
Lies on the busy dusty street
Wet still from it’s afterbirth
In the morning’s rampant heat
A dishonesty of actual worth
From a farmer who would be
damnable to a baby
Eyes a glorious amber
Wetter than before
Shaking rather nervously
No one could ignore
An infant wanting comfort
Needing milk to fight it’s way
Wanting to be loved and cared for
Every single day
One of life’s Sweet miracles
Missing a parent so
With all the indignation
That ever now might grow
Farmers care for nothing
Males calves are a sin
They only cost you money
With no money coming in

So they have to be got rid of
And leaving them in the street
Hopeful they may die alone
Where death will soon unseat
The life force of existence
This is a job we hear
For animal aid unlimited
It never was more clear
Without, the street angels
This life will soon be lost
And so they come
Their ambulance
of course, it does cost
But hearts and minds are present
It’s what the angels do
They save lives every single day
Old ones yes and new

“Dil” mean heart in Hindi
And seeing him sitting there
One look into his sweet eyes
And broken hearts despair
Collected and looked after
Fed and given care
Loved and caressed those moments
For hearts and souls to share
As days passed “Dil” got stronger
He ran about at Play
Loved to frolic in the yard
With the goats just loved the way
Life across the species was shared
And given hope
As for the rotten farmers
They should be hanging on a rope

farmers bleeding everywhere
Are cruelly on the run
Almost every male calf is murdered
It is done
This story comes from India
But male
Calves everywhere
Feel the wrath of humanity
And die without a care.

And there’s even human beings
who want to eat their meat
Chained by the neck and fed on slops
Yes it’s got me beat
VEAL the flesh of infants
Tortured all their days
Or their stomachs torn a’sunder
For the rennin it displays
Sometimes the unborn baby
Is requested and then they.
kill the mother and the babe
For the calf skin so to say
Murdering bastards everywhere
Calfskin wallets and bags
Double murder and infanticide
For the rich toffs and their hags
