Cat killings

Its night time
The M25 rarely
Sleeps
And all around
The many towns
Maybe a phantom creeps

A wild fox
Maybe many wild foxes
On the prowl
And thanks to all these
Wheelie bins
Murder now most foul

Is going on
And has been
For three years and some more
Foxes cats and rabbits and guinea pigs
At war

But we believe this wickedness
Has nothing to do with
Canidae
Its more to do with a satanic
Wicked nasty buman
On his way

Around the streets
in search of fun
And thie killing of cats
Which has been done

Many towns and many places
This distasteful venality
Opportunistic cruelty
Crimes of some enormity

Pet cat peoples feline friends
Violated in such a way
That no one thats involved
Defends

This criminal who clearly
Kills
In such a way we get the chills
Talking sbout the way they die
And are carefully left
And really why

Someone could be as sick as this
Such wicked ways really is
An irreverance and lack of respect
To families and to now elect

That the culprits are the urban fox
Thats the findings it just knocks
The paltriness that families feel
When the victims are so very real

The police have closed the case
They say
Its the urban fox
Which tends to play
Quietly into the hunters calm
Blaming an animal without qualm

Who is out at night but whose tendency
Is to hunt small mammals actually
Birds and eggs earthworms they
Rabbits and hares and voles too play

Mice hens all sorts of insects do
And Fruits and vegetables
Now hold true

Road kill can be taken they
Prefer the carrion its their way
As long as its fresh then it will be
Right for the fox but pet cats
For me

Is not the answer for me I feel
There may be copy cats
It does appeal
To those cat haters
And there will be some

But checking their scats
Is no rule of thumb

They will take sheeps wool
Hanging off a fence
But killing cats
Doesnt make any sense
Its not one fox its many
Foxes
And it just doesnt fit
In one their boxes

For a human being to get to these places
Points to them driving
We hold the aces
Foxes clearly hunting
Pet cats
Its so off the charts
When there are mice and rate

And plenty of rodents
Plenty around
Plenty of rabbits
All over the ground

A rogue fox maybe
But the number we have seen
And the way they were killed
And left its obscene

To suggest these are fox kills
Despite dna
From where from tHeir droppings
Their blood just to say

It isnt a human a cat hating scum
To me is so dangerous
It does leave me numb

These are wild foxes
Audacious they be
But taking pet cats
Doesnt ring true for me
