A chimpanzee has made her plea

Us chimpanzee’s
Live in the trees
Thats of course until
You want your soft white toilet paper
Or palm oil
Then the thrill
For all of you
Sweet humans
With The forest our delight
But you employ the loggers
And it all came down one night!

They captured us
They tied us up
And forced us to the ground
I sat their with my family
No trees
Nothing around
Just a bunch of victims
Ready for the knife
Ready to be slaughtered
Ready to lose our life

The forest had been bountiful
Creation was our gift
An achievement of the highest
Really it did lift
Us all out of adversity
The accomplishment of soul
But the destruction and the flattening
Was out of our control

But you lot never heard it
Or watched us tied as we
Die here on the bare dry ground
In your apocalypse we be
Suffering immeasurably
Perdition at a height
Engulfed in total plunder
How can this be right?

We the indigenous population
Displaced overnight
Not just homeless ready to be murdered
In the light
We the earthbound warriors
Domiciled to be
Inhabiting the jungle
In an around each tree

Planeteers in reality
Living off the land
Very macrobiotic
If you could understand
We are animation
Our longevity
Freelyn given by GAIA
Which is how it ought to be

Driven to extinction
Your timebomb is our gift
Our mortality is obvious
Its how you get your lift
Destruction of the habitat
Not even done with stealth
All you do is destroy us
So you can gain some wealth

Butchery and carnage
Quietly far awsy
Hunters poachers trappers
All are in your pay
Basically executioners
By another name
Yes we are the victims
And all part of your game

Whether its Australia AFRICA India wherever habitat loss is becoming terribly serious for all wild souls and we must start to realise throwing money and signing petitions and then supporting corporates on the high street guilty of these tragedies is where we have to become much more discerning otherwise there will only be one end a terrible one for us all
