I fracking well hate this scenario

Automatic access rights
That’s the Egan chant
Cameron likes the idea too
Frankly now we can’t
Allow these parties to drill down
Into the shale beneath our feet
It’s a shady pastime
Not something all would greet

They will drill on private property
Without permission, they
Are about to reform the trespass laws
And there is nothing we dare say
Pollution of air and water
Pollution of our land
Despite the risk of earthquakes
And when it gets out of hand
birth defects and foetuses
Sickly from the start
It becomes a shocking nightmare
That goes straight to the heart

Of democracy and freedom
Cuadrilla and the mob
Their fear now of social unrest
The fact that they would rob
Us blind destroying
Our homes our land our soul
I say let them turn around
And try kicking their own goal

Fracking is attacking
The very freedoms we
Have fought wars for
And know for sure
Where we have to be
This energy machination
The matrix so to say
The frackers and their backers
Are shattered by the way
A tidal wave of anger
A soul urge stampede, too
A war of nerves
And scaremongering
We self destruct we do
Power corrupts
That energy won’t wilt
Not anymore
There’s tension
And there will be unrest
And no ones really sure

There will be a lot of victims
The investors
They drill down
The land owners
And their donors
In the natural gas will drowned
Fracking pads are being
Sold to councils near and far
Some will lose their trousers
And Their buttocks they will scar

The end will prove the means
For local communities they will die
For the long term it’s the children
And their mothers who may cry
Fracking is attacking the
Locations where we stay
The economy
The frugality
The monopoly
The desire
The avaricious
The extortionate grumps
Who will perish in the fire
