Hatred

Hatred and loathing

clearly its there

its not understood why

such darkened despair

that young child is beaten

is smashed in the face

is cracked around the body

its some big disgrace

he is young

can he ever

understand why

the girl is encouraged

to beat him

and try

to punish to torment

downtrodden he feels

punch after punch

and yes, he squeals

but no matter she hits him

that stick crashes down

and he takes all she gives out

she does go to town

on him

he is her victim

and her parents join in

wretchedness misery

really the sin

of the father

made worse by the way

he encourages his daughter

to make the lad pay

its an ugly event

to witness and be

party to it

such hideosity

ravaged misgotten

so ungainly

she uses her hand

with such vulgarity

and he’s

there to take it

despondent, in vain

its all irredeemable

along with the pain

and that will subside

but the reason, here

hatred and prejudice

to a child that’s not clear
