Mirror Mirror on the wall

What does a mirror show you?
that you really never knew
more lines on your forehead?
your eyes are not set true
your hair is a shade whiter?
than you believed it was
and that you have aged more in
one month,
all of that because?
the mirror does it lie to you?
its your own eyes that see
is this the face that others love,
is it possibly?
or is it an illusion?
is there nothing there at all?
just a bit of glass
and some sad arse’s picture, on a wall?
