The Bears the Wolves and the Salmon

The biolumencence creates a path of light
Where Salmon leap the rapids, in what, is the twilight
Close to, they stand majestic
towering shadowy souls each paws the cold
night air acting out their roles
as salmon leap the rocky scapes
so agile and dignified
The wildest sharpest claws you’ll ever see
are on our side
Great teeth strip chunks of flesh and skin
and swallow it with zest
Standing in this torrent, the thunderous
waters test
The wildest Bears, the stalwart wolves
The salmon steely grey
Who leap against the rivers flow
Upwards, and some pay
Taking on the forces of nature as they do
Valiantly transgressing time and immortality too
And we the Wolves of Nari
we are right beside a Bear
who is tossing half eaten specimens
up into the air
Feeding us as luck would have it
a crescendo of fearless flight
Coming down around us like the hail that falls at night
And Lone and I, in savage mode crunch on bone and skin
Tasting the life force and blood
arrested by the din
Of the white water rapids crashing onwards
to
The ocean many miles away beyond the mountains blue
Despite the feeding frenzy many salmon will,

make it back to where they came from
to their river, still
And there will mate, and die their bodies wracked with every pain
Suffering the journey home and the great refrain
The Bears have gorged the night away and with stomachs very full, satiated they will sleep clearly most thankful
And we wolves well were clearly in the right place at the right time
and can feed the pups in earnest from regurgitated chyme
