Live exports from British ports Ramsgate and Dover

Live exports are now something
of an anathema
logically it makes no sense at all
but logic doesn’t come into the
equation
the trucks transport
and of course there is a wall
of silence and the police
are there to see the plans
are carried out
and all the sheep are shipped
across to France
the corporations have the power
and money and if they can
you bet they are going to
flout
always pushing boundaries
its money
its profits
its their margins
personally I
couldn’t care a
monkeys about their profits
its a uncompassionate
business which is why

These animals are alive
and they need feeding
and watering and care
along the way
but basically because they are off
to slaughter any of those add on
take away
money for the shareholders
that’s tragic!
you build into price
the shipping terms
you cannot treat them
as if they are already dead
and as regards the shippers
all these firms
have to come to terms
with more compassion
taking care of animals
to me
is really part and parcel
of the system
and live exports really
and truthfully shouldn’t be
shipments from the UK
to the port and onwards
take many hours
and this will cause much stress
what we have to do is ban live exports
in a nutshell we will not settle for less
