What reason would there be for murdering a group of ducklings

What makes a man
pick up a broom
and kill a lot of ducks
smash them
till they are no more
of course this anger
Sucks!
but they were wholly innocent
and had done him no ill
so why because he could
did he feel the need to kill?
did he go off his rocker
were they noisy in some way
or were they just wee babies
he needed to slay

what makes a man
do horrific things
to each little earthling soul
who left this world in agony
as he clearly lost control
and sent their feathers flying
and broke their little hearts
I mean they were just babies
their pain went off the charts

I know they were only tiny
but think about the way
each little soul just perished
the price they had to pay
imagine that misfortune
of being there the gloom
of meeting up with a bloke like him
of killed them with his broom
