The monkey pulled through the cage to extract its blood

What I see here
is abhorrence
the monkey is clearly in fear
its suffering greatly
however sedately its
lodged in that cage
it is clear
its tormentors
cannot conceive
pitiless pariah’s they be
stealing his blood
from his sad outstretched arms
and doing it so grotesquely
his face is so twisted
pulled through those bars
uncomfortably hurting inside
and we know the pain
the contempt its insane
the transgressors
they have denied
already what crimes
they are committing
the see not
they feel not
they are not
larcenists lost
in a maelstrom of doubt
selling its blood
that’s what its about
the emotion of fear
to me it is clear
these heartless souls
cannot feel
they will do anything
they will just try to fling
off the crimes they commit
as a steal
