Cross channel pigeon regattas or races
there should be a lot of very red faces
about but of course the great flutter is on
thousands of pigeons have all upped and gone
lorry loads congested cages that hold
masses of faeces and feathers all rolled
up in it all that not many see
but its there the despair and the mass cruelty
900 miles some have to fly
its clearly so sinful
for most of them die
this gruellingly painful expedition
is wrong
Pigeon fanciers sing one sick song
their gassed drowned or killed
thats those who return
what a reward for that struggle to learn
“your out of the money”
and so worthless to
the great pigeon fancier
who wants to do
anything really to make sure that you
never again fly the channel no stew
no pie, nothings coming
