Tears

Tears of joy
Tears of sadness
the language of the few
the animal kingdom
has the power
seemingly to speak to YOU
with all of their emotion
their eyes
their manner, they
are beings too
with a higher rate
pf emotion which
does, t does shine through

this soul is clearly
shattered
it bites the bars we set
tears fall from its
great big eyes
it faces such a debt
of fear
and inequality
of sadness
and of woe
and some of us are very hard
of hearing
this they know

billions hit the ether
billions every year
cry their individual oceans
every single tear
falls on plains of dryness
as people look away
close their ears to those who feel
beside themselves and pay
the price of being animals
eaten by those who
instruct the ugly slaughterers
to do what they must do
