The whole life hunter

Philip Glass a Texan
A rancher he is called
Cut his teeth onRabbits and Squirrels
When he was ten
And moved up to the big four
Lion leopard Buffalo Elephant
He was very sure

Up to now the Rhino was missing from his list
He is a trophy hunter
It’s hard to resist
Shooting down the animals
Where they live for he
Says he loves all animals
And thinks perhaps they see
Him as being
A good man
Who loved all animals so
A sickly kind of habitual slayer
Whose death count seems to grow

He is so proud of the giraffe
Trophy he thinks that it is cool
Half the money he pays to kill
Goes to conservation and will
Actually be good for the countries
Sporting these fine beasts
The madness of the killing
And successive feasts

It’s hard to see these healthy souls
Shot to death and lost
He puts so much effort in the Hunt
And what it cost
He takes their spirit
And how he feels when he
Stalks them he
shoots them dead
Another trophy
He has hopefully

This arrogance and ignorance
Of life each soul does live
Not to end up on a hunters wall
Is NO reason to give
These so called trophy hunters
Should realise they sin
Stay the fuck in Texas
And learn the violin
