I wasn’t around so I do not know but Balfour fucked up
What we have to show
For their futile meddling
Somebody’s land
Given away
Who can understand
How could it have been so
But now We see
Colonialism and purgatory
All these years occupied
A frustration
denying what is a conflagration
Settlers coming in their droves
Arrogance ignorance
Treasure troves
Bitterness anger searing guilt
The stems of life beginning to wilt
Belligerent people suffering so
Settlements thousands how they did grow
Prisoners stolen in darkly jails
Death and destruction it just pales
I’ll advised and broken through
Bitterness growing seemingly true
An October thrust across the wall
And a war began that did befall
So much we saw
so much we hear
War scarred cities heightened fear
Women and children Torn to shreds
By bombing and more bombing crushed in their beds
For Seven long months we have witnessed Hell
The ugly stench a destructive spell
Of ugly aggression, which we now know well
It’s split opinion everywhere
And all of us feel the dread and despair.
