Human beings manipulate
Articulate and recreate
A system whereby animals are taken
Advantage of
Greyhounds yes and horses
We agitate their forces
Encourage them to congregate
And race
It doesn’t educate
It just conflates the empirical
Encourages the animals
To actually compete
So that human beings can
wager
They can gamble
Harm those being manipulated
Which is why
The challenge becomes egregious sadly
Leaving animals
Expected to compete beyond
What’s healthy tragically.

Racing is competitive dealing with another’s role
Harmful to the animals
Who also have a soul
Feeling is conducive the energy elusive
Derived from mind and matter
And energy that can shatter
Seemingly from ego from taking the advantage
Causing them great suffering
And an inner rage
