Wolves matter/ hunters don’t

The weary wolf now wends its way
through wilderness
both night and day
he’s run off the land
by the ranchers who
seem to have a differing view
We were here first! yes its us
really nothing to discuss
wilderness is the wolves domain
cow’s arn’t part of that refrain
We’re
shot at
many of us lost
my wife and children
have borne the cost
around here humans live in fear
the sounds of gunfire on the ear
they carry rifles everyday
shooting at us
come what may
we must howl must tell the moon
that sadly very very soon
at this rate we shall
all be dead
shot through
with the hunters lead
