Moles crying

Have you ever seen

a more pitiful sight

Than the Rollright moles

and their terrible plight

who watched the labyrinth

torn apart

right before their eyes

they saw the bags of special seed

back breaking work at play

they saw the finished article

and watched You scrape away

their effort and their sweat and blood

these Druids came to try

and make the scene a happier one

thats no word of a lie

every Mole child

cried aloud

shudderingly

for all their worth

it was such a pity

sad souls

sad moles

in their holes

the understanding stones

the Rollrights Trust

had failed to hear

their terrible shocking moans

and groans

they moaned

and groaned collectively

souls broken  to the core

a tragedy of such proportions

ofcourse asking what for

it really isn’t fair to them

it isnt fair at all

tunnelling quietly underground

it drove them up the wall
