Live shipment of pigs from Oakland to Hawaii

Imagine it,
forced into
a container
to be shipped

 Aboard a Matson
or Horizon ship, 7
pigs oh yes
their trip

They slip and slide,
no place to hide
Its no wonder that
so many tend to flip

150 pigs packed in
like sardines,
if only every one of you could see
They get all hot and
bothered
Because they cannot sweat
No water and no food for them
Some will die, I bet
they will die in abject agony
frightened so much woe
Being crushed together
And its a long long way to go

From Oakland in California
to Hawaii
And as soon as they arrive
Its for the chop
Throats slit, hung up
bled out,cut up
Completely torn a’sunder
This vile trade
It really has to stop

Unsanitary conditions
Sulphurous, to be sure
Offensive to just anyone
Who opens up the door
And is hit by shit and urine
and fear, great fear at large
These animals are wilting
You cannot camouflage
The evil that’s abundant
The shippers clearly are
Insensitive as is the shipping line
For its too far

To ship live creatures as they do
Blood money in their bank
Many die before they get there
Hell fire at every flank
Arriving, there’s no chance
to feed, its straight out and into
The slaughterhouse the murder place
Where very very few

are anything but suffering
and to murder them like this
in front of one another
is so, taking the piss
Human beings really are
the lowest of the low
No compassion of any fashion
any there you know
They slit their throats
in front of one another
and their blood
stains the floor, the walls
the air
Imagine how they cope with it
The agony together
the torture,truthfully
it’s everywhere

they have eyes, and ears
and can smell the deaths
Of their families and the way
they taunt them, they must be aching
To turn around and say
Why, Why are you treating us?
so terribly today
But most don’t they truly suffer
And for this are made to pay

They Tear their hearts to smithereens
Watch and feel the blade
and hang aloft in total view
as if they’re on parade
and shake and shiver
in dire shock and then its
off to be
dunked in boiling water
Their spines and hair to free

Some get there yes still alive
and kicking
but in a soup of their own
heads they die
Live shipments should be banned
its bloody terrible
and it only increases the profit
For the guy
who ships them
the sad farmer who has raised them
But can just as easily push them
out the door
He can see them squashed into a vile container
And know that its shipped and those poor sad things are sore

But he turns around and goes home
to his family
not a word he just collects his fee
A bastard there’s no doubt who knows
what its about
But who reckons he can sleep
yea real soundly.

everybody mixed up in this trade
has guilt
look into their eyes you can soon see
An arrogance a glazing over of their eyes
Making money but free of sin, hardly
They will get, their come uppence
of that I’m certain
Karma balances things but its a shame
The pigs must go through all of this
excruciating terror which does it truly does
our hearts inflame.
