EMU

An Emu in Spain
To me its insane
It came from the outback
So far away
Ends up in spain in some
Animal park
And escapes
And is run down
By the police

Yes they mark
Out their place
To just follow it
As frightened it runs
On motor bikes
Flashing their guns

An AUstralian Emu
Has every right
To run like the clappers
With no recourse to flight
What else can it do
It was sad in a way
There were no experts around
Who could pay

Attention perhaps to dart it
Just coppers on wheels
With no experience
Of such ordeals
For them its a runaway
Chase it and fight
Ofcourse a wild emu
Would run

Its the height
Of arrogance really
For people in Spain
To keep such a bird
It is so insane
To be able to buy
Them and bring them to spain
Its the same with Koala
And ROo’s theres no gain

All these wild creatures
Should be left alone
Its wrong on all counts
But the seeds they were sown
For this poor Emu
Who some how got away
From his captors this wild soul
On that Wednesday

Now an investigation needs to be undertaken
To find out who had this bird why did they have this bird
And we all as Nations should prevent wild souls
Imported as pets if this is what has happened
And if its a zoo or game park then under licence only
And care and attention provided to prevent such
Escapes.
