Its humiliating to watch this
A horse stands in the now
A child beside him probably
Lacks humility and how
To act with what is clearly
A horse thats felt the wrath
This is not an isolated case
And for me we see a path
That should see a beginning
One hopes so anyway
Thats if the child is up for it
She might be prepared to pay
Her respects and realise
The need for her to be
A little more obsequious
Which I think we all agree
It is rather a harsh lesson
For a child to learn
But respect should not have to be earned
And Abuse makes me concerned
Perhaps the horse was teaching
The human child and she
Should appreciate the lesson
And learn from it and be
A better person from this
I say this cagily
Perhaps she will run to her parents
And the horse well just might be
Seen in, a well unfair light
Animals tend to be
Victims clearly always
The superiority
Of humans, clearly can control
A situation but we
Know this horse has taken quite
A hammering for me
Hopefully a lesson learned
Will see a fairer deal
Developing well that is my hope
But whatever does reveal
It isn’t just with animals
The irreverance around
The elderly, some parents
Themselves, sadly I have found
Disrespect is growing
And impoliteness too
People need to wake up a bit
And be courteous and true
At least respect the animals
They were not put here to be
Abused and children have no right
To assume that role, for me
The child was very fortunate
The horse took umbrage to
Being given a hard time
And became a teacher who
Hopefully helped her to realise
And learn
But it might be in the absence of the true picture
That the horse was put down or sold
