Respect

The reasoning power of our psyche
The rationality
The indigenous peoples consciousness
Is extra sensory
Perceptual and reasonable
Lateral thinking too
A kind of rumination
The proper thing to do

Having an understanding
With an animal thus you
May expect an air of substance
In what both of you do
A kind of cooperative message
Where the animal can see
A reason to help its rider
A kind of symphony

Its music when you look around
At how animals are abused
Cruelty is commonplace
Conformity has refused
To reconcile with kindness
And respect a way to be
To give in to the wildness
And a diversity

A oneness a uniqueness
A partnership between
The rider and the ridden
Under the same steam
Each complementing each other
A true duality
A bond infact and a friendship
That is boundless and is free

Horses work and horses play
Timelessness is there to stay
Their wild intent is given grace
At a never ending pace
Watching these horses clippity clop
There’s a run of freedom
Some of them stop
To graze awhile and to lag behind
In life this is what we all find

Equal rights in many ways
For the horseman and the horse
It plays
Into an emanicipated role
Where each does their thing
And lets their soul
Be comforted in realms of grace
Without a saddle and at their own pace

Its convenience in many ways
A kind of marriage
That always plays
To compliance on a natural scale
And where there is consent
It will rarely fail

There’s work there’s play
And there’s rest each day
You are not a slave
Of some troublous knave
And cooperation apparently
Is the wealth that binds
Apparently

The work is hard for Beast and man
The land is cruel
When they began
The realization and true respect
Over cruelty they did elect
Its an understanding
Its being prepared
To each give lots
And then freedoms shared

There’s a skill to liberality
To a bountifulness to being free
To doing one’s bit and expecting a deal
Unstinting unsparing
And being real
For me theres a kind of nobility
An indigenous aristocracy
Comrades really in every way
Who work the land
And who like to play
