Amur Tigers

In The Taigu or the snow forest
Is a creature with amber eyes
A solitary hunter
Of extraordinary size
Its very cold
There is always snow
And drifts that are very deep
With lots of prey to feed upon
The Tiger boy can reap

A great deal from his surroundings
50 ungulates a year
Red deer Roe Deer Sikka Boar
And each one lives in fear
Of the solitary Tigers
Who eat and sleep and do
Some twenty per cent is protected
But the loggers are coming through

Hunters wing the tigers
And slow their gait a bit
Then they can cannot hunt their prey
When a Tiger isn’t fit
He then may resort to dogs and villages
And have to pit his wit
Against the would be shooters
That human tribes possess
Government agencies set up
To prevent distress

And these Tigers are often
Darted and of course checked out and they
Are fitted with radio collars
Then sent on their way
If they are badly injured
Or have infections then they might
Inject them to prevent their further
Suffering by right

Generally the people
Are caring towards those souls
Who run the gambit in the wild
And live in caves and holes
Putin himself went to see
The tigers a d he kissed
A tiger that he put the collar in
He could not resist

Supporting the national heritage brigade
Spruces Larch and other pines
Fuel the lumber trade
The Usuri boreal forests are huge
And do perform
Some safety for the wild ones
Riding out their storm
