What is a dolphinarium
Its a prison that is all
Filled with salty water
A dead place with a wall
Of blue bricks made to look like
What humans know as the sea
But the sea is never like that
The sea has life you see
And we in fact are dolphins
Our freedom is what we
Have and are its where we star
In our community
We have the choice of everywhere
And individuality
Self determination
Free born free bred
And liberty
This place is subjugation
Its enslavement that is all
Oppressive its unravelling
And its very very small
Its restricting us completely
Its a lifeless sombre place
No algae and no seaweeds
And not even a trace
Of luxuriance of lushness
No where we can hide
No waves no surf there is nothing
They said there was and they lied
Mankind and humanity
Are a society of cranks
A great city of corporates
Answering to their banks
Nothing in their heart strings
And very little soul
Their empathy for others
Was never their goal
They know nothing of these earthlings
Us rulers of the rule the sea
With due respect for every species
Everywhere they be
Distance is no object
For miles and miles we fly
And down into the bowels we go
Where coral angels lie
In this giant bucket
So much incuriosity
Their are no answers to our plea
And its a pure audacity
To imagine that we dolphins
Can exist in this vile pool
And forget where we have come from
This is to be our school
Where you are going to train us
To leap through hoops and fly
For dead fish we must work our fins off
And we know now why
This sea pool dolphinarium
The university
Its where your greenhorn trainers are
And our adversity
Your feeble minded dipsticks
Idiotic fools
Artless in the soft design
Feather brained these schools
We had expectation
And imagination too
But what we get is boring
Its meaningless but true
This is not equivocal
We feel so shot away
And really so ambivalent
At what we have today
First off of course its dirty
No airing nothing here
It just doesn’t feel right at all
And really we all fear
The unknown there is no where to go
We are trapped inside this hole
With the constancy of nothing
And the coercive force of no
To exist in this monstrosity
This over bearing park
So close to the ocean
Where we had made our mark
Its torture its so evil
The grindstone it will wear
So uninspired and dreary
And hardly ever fair
This is hideous and repulsive
Its the defacement of our soul
Forbidding and odious
And we feel your control
By the very nature of the smallness
Of this place
Compared to the mighty ocean
It is truly a disgrace
Wildness was our dreamland
Our hope we cast aside
When we were captured by the trolls
And then just relied
On coming to this miserable hole
And calling it our place
There is no way we can do this
We haven’t got the space
All dolphins need their freedom
All dolphins need the sea
The massive depths and miles and miles
Thats where we must be
Flashing through the breakers
Racing boats at speed
Diving down to dark holes
When we get to feed
The chase is on for dead fish
Lying on the ground
Already smelling obnoxious
Even when its found
Its stale and not so tasty
Its warm and rancid too
Its anything but what we want
And are expected to do
Every trick imaginable
Through hoops of fire and more
Let the trainers swim with us
Some still in the raw
Its not good to swim with humans
Their touch does kind of scar
Thats when we get infections
From being where
You are
