Dumped off Taiji

Happiness and safety

this was the bond we share

mother father uncles and aunties

all of us aware

the ocean was our festive board

the corals and the green

the tides the currents the froth the waves

together it was our scene

we know, we care and we are cared for

each of us knows we

must stay close to our mothers

its the only place to be

the pipes they are a calling us

but not the pipes of peace

they are the pipes of chaos

of war of threat, release

release all that is bountiful

release all that is free

the pipes the pipes are calling us

the vile pipes of Taiji

and so we all are herded

to the cove

and we must fight

must  struggle for our family

we battle day and night

the Taiji rogues are flashing

their steel machetes

do

reach into our psyche

and threaten just a few

cut us ,rip us tear us

we bleed but shall not run

each must stay and fight

fight until the end

my son

these Taiji bastards

then select some to go away

some to then be slaughtered

and the babies are made to pay

I am one of those babies

my parents they are dead

my brothers they have killed them too

under the tarps run red

we are being taken back

to flounder in the sea

orphans shark bait

nobody to defend us

crucially

the current it will take us

the sharks may come

and screw

devour us

no protection

what else can we do

but hope that our god

Neptune

can protect us and

repay the taiji fisherman

for being underhand

for being very brutal

throwing us back to die

sacrificing the innocent

any many of us lie

down to now  await our  death

tragically few will ever be

anything but victims

because ,of Taiji
