Experiencing the children that were so much part of the family

I’ve never had a child
that I could care for
Never really
understood that role
Wiping up their vomit
Just did not appeal
changing nappies
for each little soul

again, not really up there
on my wish list
so visiting a family
that had two
a toddler and a baby
both breast feeding
both in nappies
where I soon found out
these children control you

And so parents
must realise how dependant
all the little children
really are
and achieving all that parents
do
whilst managing the children who
are little individuals
from afar

(I didn’t feel out of place at all
I felt I could help in small ways and did
at food time and with play)
