The great elephants must perish so the rich yanks can feel good

Of all the great animals

left in the wild

the Elephants

sadly are being defiled

by the poachers for ivory

and now we see

American canned hunters

who seem to be

loaded with dollars

so they can afford

to load up their rifles

and get their reward

a great beast, an earthling

who was in his prime

cut down in a hail

and will no longer climb

back on his legs

for this is his last crash

bloodied and finished

just fucking trashed

this bloody poacher

and thats all he is

who lets his kid sit in the picture

the fizz

has gone out of the elephant

he has now died

and the kid and his father

seem to have denied

they are both criminals

they ought to be

locked up in a jail house

till I say they are free

the child with a rifle

and a big smile

the loss of such wonderment

they now reconcile

themselves to go home

with a head on their wall

with the tusks bound for china

a real lowly haul

the governments now

have got to get real

American poachers

must know how we feel

they have to be outlawed

they have to be jailed

otherwise all that we do

it has  failed

send the child home by himself

on a plane

and ensure that the father

can’t poacher ere again
