The Tilt train from Cairns

I never made the Tilt Train
though I heard a lot about it
The Sunlander people told
me, I should be
really on the tilt train
for I was too disabled
and honestly this was no place for me

but I’d been booked
and therefore had to be there
I took a bashing for the
first 5 hours
again the doors
were heavily sprung
and difficult to manoeuvre
but travelling on my own
I develop powers

of coping otherwise
I dare not travel
they pitifally come
and must be overcome
sometimes I’m left alone
to my own devices
and other times I’m helped
and so there’s some

angels find their way to me
to comfort
other times, I am left on my own
I had a mini crisis on the Sundowner
but got over it
and because of that, have grown
