Imagine a moment
what its like to know
that you are someone else’s meal
it can throw
a dice of expectation
for actually you
may soon be a spare rib
or a great pot of stew
and you are a soul
born of a mother who cared
you remembered her love
it was never spared
when you opened your eyes
fof the first time you knew
that light from the sun
it shone down on you
you felt it the warmth
on your back it was nice
somehow it made you
somehow did entice
every thought in your body
to go out and be seen
in the green of the fields
where you had never been
how you wanted to play
just leap in the air
just nuzzle the grass
you were so aware
the smells all around
the blossoms the earth
everything out there
you knew its worth
for you were a piglet
thats what you were
along with your brothers and sisters
the purr
of the wind from the sky
on the grass that was green
a carpet so soft
with a holograph sheen
how you bounced in that light
for those first minutes you
realized life was the gift given to
you and your brothers and sisters
until
it dawned on you inside
that someone might kill
that threat to existence
tore into your soul
the realization
you had no control
on when it might happen
and how it might be
what the man tribe decide
has to be key
you remember your mother
she loved you a lot
now she is gone
in somebody’s pot
in somebody’s mouth
in somebodys gut
your future is short lived
the light will be shut
out of your world
the pain and the woe
will be the new journey
where you must go
