Action for Elephants (Pallmall)London Noon till 3.30pm 13/2/

A matriach

an older Bull

a baby all were there

In Pall Mall

near to Marlborough Street

in the Wintery air

the sun was out

but the wind was brisk

the taxi cabs and van

the great big lorries

and the buses

hooted and the plan

was just to get

some confirmation

for the Ele breed

and Ivory

well wishers came

and hoped we could succeed

It really is a tragedy

whats happening to our kind

We are being poached by rotten men

sadly now we find

they want our  tusks

our tools they are

without them we are lost

and they sell them off to China

at an enormous cost

to us as precious icons

us Ele’s who achieve

still so much for tourism

even though can you believe

the carnage that is Africa

and India, we know

we are getting blown away

wiped out

the numbers grow

thousands lost just last year

bloodied in their prime

that why we came to protest

and thats why I pen this rhyme.

the blood of so many wet the

earth

all around the park

we are dying, we are suffering

we have made our mark

on Africa we trumpet

loud the music of the few

to try to awaken

those who say

they love us, as they do

please  you have to save us

we are here to be, we are

we really make a difference

in many ways we star

in Nature’s real life drama

against the murdering clan

who see us as a sacrifice

Please  help us if you can

Even the Police were jolly

helped and thought that we

protested very nicely

very peacefully

so many people hooted

that made us happy, we

can take each message back

to share

with the Ele Family.
