Bear Baying in South Carolina

Its nothing to be proud of

that you are the only state

in what is the United States

to allow this, which isn’t great

its a vile and rotten process

of using a wild bear

taking out all of its teeth

and claws  though its aware

tethering tightly to a wall

and letting hunting dogs fight

they jump and maul and

have a ball

and give the bear a fright

and of course the bear is  terrorised

it cannot move that much

whilst these dogs

known as hunting dogs

can get right in touch

they often jump up on the bear

and bite it as it tries

to get away but has no where

to hide inside it cries

its really an evil spectacle

and for people to come and see

to stand there an enjoy this

is to sink into depravity

and this a state where many are

religious so to say

it beggars all belief to see

this happening today

the only state that allows this

its evil through and through

and for people supposedly decent people

to try to get a view

of this and well just stand

there

enjoying animals fight

and imagine this is civilized

behaviour ,its not right

it has to be stopped and stopped now

its a savage thing to do

its pitilessness and  callous

unconsoling  to the extreme

who would expect such goings on

its like some horrrific dream

the world cannot now tolerate

such savagery abroad

this animal is being tortured

it ought to strike a chord

with all of you who go there

just how sick you are

for this to be now happening

your souls you have to scar

How the hell can you allow this

look at the cruelty here

that poor bear hasn’t got a chance

he is living in fear

the terror of these hunting dogs

being trained they say

a remorseless attack ongoing

is disgraceful let me say

talking of religion

what does the good book say

that you can spend your miserable time

watching the poor bear pray

for someone to stop all of this

for the evil is within

this is not to be watched oh no

in itself its a mortal sin
