The Prince of Fire

The forest equilibrium
includes the wolves, for they
are an integral part of nature
the order so to say
man can spout his arrogance
can hunt them and can kill
but in destroying habitat
the blood that he does spill
is his own blood in essence
for the wolf has value too
he is needed, he is part of nature
his elimination, true
is an end to forest habitat
and man’s place so to say
and the wolf must find his way back
he has to anyway

Yes there will be victims
Yes there will be pain
but the forest needs him
and he needs the forest
we all gain
that golden eye
that grey white coat
that prowess to admire
The wolf, is the sacred one
