Anaconda hiding

By a steamy river edge

in Ecuador

a while away

a bamboo pipe was bobbing

i have to say

of course the bloody obvious

i might just take that back

it just looked remarkable

hollowed out

no crack

smooth as a babies bottom

musically perhaps

a tune or two i could muster

With melancholic wraps

Each colourful crescendo

a melody of sorts

Borrowed from the jungle

of wild and natural thoughts

sadly for me i slipped into the water

it wasn’t very deep so fortunately was

able to get hold of and place it on  the bank

And saw a snake crawl out

exceptionally

piranha in the water teeth a chomping

in Ecuador the rivers are a pain

there before something being

pulverised by a melee of them

seriously insane

blood and guts and splintered bones

were causing

a minced up vile indulgence i could see

thought to myself if luck was not protecting

then bloody hell it just might happen to be me
