A lament

A contraption aimed at profit
From a sickly mind it came
Nobody heard the prophet
Nobody spoke of blame
Infanticide apparent
I an innocent who
Had a life before me
Stolen by the likes of you
In my heaven collective tears
Will wet your soul for so many years
