Imagine their frustration
the significance of laying
Eggs a brand new family
Stolen every day
Often left in muddy places
Anywhere in a field
Hopeful they might become family
The eternal yield
But humanity believes it’s right
To steal these eggs and sell
Each godly created chicken
Murdered by the hell
On earth folk who are stealing them
And chickens do feel sad
Often they will eat the eggs
Themselves, and then feel bad
A nervousness sets in
Inside their creative soul
The stress and strain of laying eggs
It’s tiring to their brain
A constancy supplying
It just feels so insane
Eggs bought by the dozen
On shelves now everywhere
And very few are ever hatched
Leading to pure despair
Fed on crap anonymous
No exercise at all
Many kept in batteries
Prison and no stall
Around to get some walking in
Lost souls in a cage
Laying eggs like crazy
Many off the page
Sometimes chickens eat their eggs
Pissing off the man
Keeping them and selling them
Clearly he’s no fan
All their bloody hard work
And thoughts both night and day
And man un kind is at it
Stealing
