LLYN TEGID

5 KM long and 1KM wide
A lake of such substance
And I hear that inside
Is a real new age dinosaur
Seemingly seen
Likes the Welsh rarebit
And It’s coloured green

I had heard of a Gellilydan
Close to Maentwrog
Another green monster
That lives in a bog
But just felt excited
That monsters appear
To be living in Wales
And Not far from here

It’s a breathtaking sight
Slate coloured it be
With the sun shining down on it
Miraculously
All sorts of shapes just appear
Waves as well
Hoary and silvery
A magical spell
Cast long ago
By some wizard of old
There’s me just day dreaming
But on this place
I am sold

Elyri to the West
Berwyn to the East
Arenig overlooking
For one’s eyes
Such a feast
of spectacular
Stretches
of mountains and mist
Imaginative sightings
You just can’t resist
the temptation
Of staring
At the glaring light
And seeing all manner
Of sightings tonight.
