Farming and a new resolution

The earth the soil the way ahead
Farmers early out of bed
Fridays even working hard
Stress and strain and being scarred
By inheritance tax a bitter blow
To thwart their striving as we know
It’s easy isn’t it watching others
Caked in mud and sweat and frost
