Who’d be a chicken in this day and age

Chickens hang around for ages
In those really tiny cages
Some six billion
Are stuck there
The size of just an A4 sheet
really that is pure deceit

12 billion eggs eaten each year
In the U.K. it’s very clear
Almost 86%
from 40 million chickens
Don’t tell me they are content
Within two year we understand
No more cages that’s what’s planned
Free range and organic’s growing
Welfare issues hot air flowing

Why are we taking over
A female’s reproduction
Chicks are being crushed alive
The macerator ruction
Every male chick is slaughtered
It reaches its end game
It’s shocking to imagine
That those who know they claim
