Glastonbury

A remarkably spirited
St Michael’s Tower
It’s lichen embellishment
Proving just how
Age and the weathering
Fancifully
Conditions the stonework
And palpably
Attracting the light
At the crossroads of time
Critical thought
And an occasioning rhyme

What the poet might see
A connectedness too
A kinship
Of spirits
The seasonal hue
A genuineness
Conflicting may be
Down passed the levels
Where the livestock we see

The higher position
The eminency
From every position
The bright eye will see
Magnificence plainly
A portrait of peace
Complimenting the magical
Ordered release.
