My little cat
Is deaf to the world
Tonight’s thunderbolts flying
She seemed to be hurled
Into my imaginary circuit beyond
Her tiny howl
A precious bond
She scratched at my door
And above it all
The crashing descending Diablos
Did call
Her tiny cry her luminous eyes
Burned in my soul
I could just realise
In the lightening shafts
That seemingly came
Out of the sky
In one violent flame
She super imposed on me
A violent thread
With a ghostly cry
It seem to pierce my head
I had not turned the light on
Feeling my way
Like a tortoise I vehemently saw this great day
observing the garden
The roof overhead
Hearing the lashing raindrops
Seemingly led
Into the conservatory
Where nervously
My cat sat aghast
On the table
And we
Communicated
Both eye to eye
She let out a howl
I was forced to sigh
The hail stones like bullets
The wind snorting loud
A crack like a huge whip
From a hungry crowd
My cat looked diminutive
Under the sky
Deaf to it all
Her eyes asking me why
