Voices from a chocolate supply chain

A father speaks
He was given a shirt
Mondelev it said
He is struggling to feed his family
For years
He is well read
But still despite all his hard work
Very little cash
A years work equals £500
Too little

A ten year old
Took time off school
To harvest the cacao
Bitten by a rattlesnake
To recover how
Pay for all the hospital bills
They needed a loan
Cadbury’s despite your profits
Reality has shown
Why you feature at the bottom of the
Ethical Consumer list with a score of NIL

Brands Cadbury MILKA Toblerone green and blacks to name a few
Thank you Ethical Consumer no 205 NOV/DEC 2023
